Wellllll it was a pretty big day here, I got shoes, boots, and Heft by Tumblr’s own Liz Moore!
I love the shoes but I am not so sure about the boots. They are beautiful and they are the right size but there is something about the way that they fit that doesn’t feel right. Like clown shoes or flippers or something. They are almost too flat. That was my first impression, I’ll try them on again and decide. I can send them back for a full refund and free shipping (the beauty of Shoebuy.com). I won’t be terribly heartbroken if I don’t keep them. (Therefore, maybe I should send them back anyway…)
But I’m very excited about Heft, Liz Moore’s 2nd novel. I read her first, The Words Of Every Song, last year and I liked it a lot. She’s posted 3 excerpts of Heft on her blog, but I didn’t read them. I didn’t need to be convinced to buy it, and wanted to save it all for when I sit down to read it. Currently I’m halfway through The Trial by Franz Kafka. It’s taken me nearly 3 weeks to get that far in a pretty easy to read book but for some reason I can’t read more than 10 pages before zonking out. So, I’m hoping the arrival of Heft will spur my reading on a little so I can get to it!
