Deyrolle: hands down the wackiest shop in Paris, France. It is an old taxidermy store on Rue de Bac, filled with exotic mammals, birds, crustaceans, bugs, and reptiles. Each of the animals are for sale for several thousand euros, but I guess worth it if pricey stuffed animals are your thing. The store is creative and whimsical, a cross between a zoo, the Museum of National History, and Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium. Besides the large game animals, there is also an impressive collection of exotic birds, massive insects, and colorful butterflies. While taxidermy is really not my thing, Deyrolle is one of a kind and animaltastic!
